Kwalu Furniture Care and Cleaning guidelines help preserve the appearance and long-term performance of Kwalu products in healthcare and senior living environments. While these settings require frequent cleaning and daily use, following approved cleaning practices is essential to protect product finishes over time. For Seating Finishes
(Protea)
To clean all Kwalu seating products, use ordinary, non-scouring commercial cleaning products, such as citrus-based cleaners or Windex.
Avoid cleaning agents that contain abrasives, including products such as Ajax or Comet, as they can scratch the finish. Cleaners containing aromatic or chlorinated hydrocarbons, ketones, or nitro compounds should also not be used. Furniture polishes and oils are not recommended.
To repair scuffs and light scratches – follow these steps:
- Rub area with 0000 Steel Wool until smooth.
- Rub area with Scotch-Brite™ #7445 pad until smooth.
For Casegoods & Tabletop Finishes
(Protea Fusion)
To keep the surface clean and free of marks/stains:
- Wet a Mr. Clean® Magic Eraser Pad using distilled water.
- Rub the surface area clean.
- Wipe away any remaining water with fresh paper towel.
