Designer Von Robinson’s first step when designing the Ellie Collection was studying how patients, families, and clinicians move, rest, and connect in daily care environments. His conclusion was simple yet powerful: when form feels natural, care flows more easily.
The Ellie Collection includes a patient recliner and sleeper sofa shaped by neuroaesthetic research. From the gentle arc of the embrace back to the sculpted loop arms, Ellie’s curved details respond to both physical and emotional needs.
Patients find support without stiffness. Families feel welcome at the bedside. Clinicians gain furniture that performs under constant use. Ellie was built for these moments, where design can soften stress, preserve dignity, and support patients through every stage of care.

The Ellie Sleeper Sofa transforms a clinical fixture into a nurturing refuge, designed with a sculpted form and biophilic contours to bring warmth and softness to the room, and a fold-down back cushion that transforms the seat into a full sleeping surface that empowers care partners to sustain their viral role at the patient’s side through every step of care.

The Ellie Recliner responds to the real-world needs of inpatient care, offering upright comfort with an embrace back that reduces strain, a footrest tucks neatly away to support easier movement, loop arms that invite a natural grip with steady sit-to-stand, and refined push bar and locking wheels for mobility.
“Curves help healing, and Ellie’s forms are intentionally soft—reinforcing the idea that beauty and function are not at odds, but essential to care,” explains Robinson. “With Ellie, I set out to provide a safe haven—one that supports rest and connection for patients and care partners alike.”
