Every moment deserves support.
We believe that nurturing environments are essential to the human experience, especially during times of significant life transitions. Every interaction, from patient care to clinician support, should be intentionally designed to prioritize the physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being of its occupants, fostering comfort, safety, and a sense of belonging.
Lounge / Waiting Room
Before the conversation.
Before the diagnosis.
Before the treatment.
The waiting room is where first impressions are formed, families gather, and patients prepare for what’s ahead. When these spaces feel welcoming, comfortable, and intuitive, people can focus less on where they are—and more on the care they’re about to receive.
Behavioral Lounge
A sense of calm.
A sense of comfort.
A sense of dignity.
Behavioral health environments should feel calm, familiar, and welcoming—supporting safety without letting it define the experience. Form, proportion, and material come together to create spaces that feel human while standing up to the demands of constant use.
Patient Room
For receiving care.
For giving care.
For being there.
A patient room has to work for everyone who depends on it. It should support the patient receiving care, the clinicians providing it, and the family members who stay close through it all. When each has the space they need, the room supports more than care—it supports the people around it.
Infusion
Through the treatment.
Through the waiting.
Through whatever comes next.
Infusion environments balance the needs of care with the needs of the person receiving it. Privacy, comfort, visibility, and control come together to create a space that supports treatment without allowing the clinical environment to define the experience.
Staff Space
A moment to sit.
A moment to recharge.
A moment before going back.
A coffee with a colleague. A quiet corner to exhale. A comfortable place to catch up. Staff spaces give the people who spend their days caring for others a place to step away, connect, and reset.
Outdoor
Away from the noise.
Away from the routine.
Away, for just a moment.
Outdoor spaces offer a change of pace within the healthcare environment—a place for privacy, connection, or simply a moment away. For patients, families, and staff, access to the outdoors creates space to step away without having to go far.
Protea™ Plus – Greenhealth Approved™
Protea™ Plus has all the same performance qualities as our standard Protea — strength, durability, bleach-cleanability, resistance to moisture, and wood-look warmth — with one important difference: it eliminates PVC.
PVC is one of the primary chemicals of concern identified in the Healthy Interiors criteria (v2.4). By removing it, Protea Plus seating frames qualify as Greenhealth Approved™, helping designers and healthcare systems create healthier interiors.
