Designed for Comfort, Built for Safety—Rest Easy with Fall Prevention

Caring for residents means prioritizing their safety and dignity in every moment. For senior living communities like yours, the impact of falls goes beyond numbers—it’s about protecting someone’s family member.

The Alesso Bed’s floor-level design is a compassionate solution that actively reduces the risk of serious injury from falls. With a bed height of just 3.9 inches, it minimizes impact, providing an extra layer of protection and peace of mind. Thoughtfully engineered with resident safety at its core, the Alesso Bed helps create an environment where well-being, comfort, and dignity are safeguarded every step of the way.

Prevent Falls, Protect Lives, and Preserve Your Bottom Line

In senior living communities, every resident’s safety and well-being are at the heart of care. Unfortunately, bed falls can put that safety at risk while also creating unexpected financial strain from medical expenses, additional staffing, and legal costs. The Alesso Bed offers a compassionate solution with its ultra-low, floor-level design, thoughtfully crafted to reduce the risk of falls and related injuries. A 2023 study found that 43% of nursing home residents experience falls, meaning 43 out of 100 residents in a facility are at high risk. This would result in a cost attribution of $271,777 per year for a 100-bed nursing home.

Thoughtful Design Should Support Everyone Involved in the Care Process

The Alesso bed is designed with both caregivers and residents in mind, enhancing safety and streamlining care processes. With its adjustable features and built-in fall prevention, it minimizes the risk of falls, offering peace of mind to caregivers and reducing the emotional strain on residents and staff. By addressing both physical and emotional well-being, the Alesso bed fosters an environment of confidence, allowing caregivers to focus on quality care while residents experience greater security and comfort.

Features

Durable Finish

Protea™ doesn’t have any of the drawbacks of wood. The finish is moisture impervious, easy to clean and maintenance-free.

Floor-Level Performance

The floor-level function lowers the mattress platform to a height of 3.9 in above the floor, helping to reduce the risk of falls and associated injuries.

Vertical Lift to Caregiver Height

The Alesso bed, with its remote-controlled vertical lifting mechanism, is designed to reach a nursing height of 29.5 in, offering ergonomic benefits for caregivers by minimizing back strain. This innovative design ensures the bed’s footprint remains unchanged.

Auto-Contour Positioning

The auto-contour position feature simultaneously raises both the head rest and leg rest, creating a chair position to support positioning and prevent the resident from sliding down the bed.

Length Adjustment

The bed length can be adjusted from 80 to 84 in, with a bracket sold separately, to accommodate taller residents.

Side Panels

The side panels for the Alesso Bed are available in finishes to match the selected Kwalu Headboard and Footboard and are optional.
